Camshaft replacement
■ Remove the engine head
■ Place the camshaft housing on two wooden blocks and remove the cover.
■ Remove the bolt securing the sprocket to the camshaft, which must be held in place with an open-ended spanner. The flattened place for the key is located between the cams 4 cylinder
■ Remove the vacuum pump
■ Remove the two camshaft stop plate bolts
■ Remove the camshaft from the housing.
■ While prying, remove the sealing ring from the shaft housing. Wash all the removed parts in extractive gas. Remove any remaining gasket. Verify elements and replace any damaged.
Before assembly, coat the sliding surfaces of the lever and the roller with MoS2 paste. Slide the shaft with the stop plate into the housing and screw the plate. Block the shaft and knock a new sealing ring in until the stop with a suitable pipe. Place the gear wheel and tighten the bolt (moment 90 Nm) only after setting the timing and belt tension. Put the housing on the head and screw the cover with a new gasket
