Replace the brake disc
Whenever the friction inserts are replaced, the condition and thickness of the brake discs should be checked.
■ Attach the dial gauge to the steering knuckle pin mounting bolt. Place the sensor pin perpendicular to the brake disc, 10 mm below the edge.
■ Turn the brake disc, by reading its side runout. The size of the beating should not exceed 0,1 Mm. If necessary, you can compensate for the runout by shifting the brake disc on the hub by 180 .
■ To remove the brake disc, unscrew the locking screw from the hub. For light alloy wheel discs, remove the brake disc cover first. Pull the brake caliper type GMF outward forcefully Tilt the brake disc slightly and slide off the hub.
Always replace brake discs on both sides of the axle at the same time. Assembly is in reverse order.
