Setting the start of pressing
The injection pump start can be checked both with it installed, and the removed engine. A dial gauge with a suitable holder is required for checking, screwing into the pump
■ Remove the cover from the clutch housing
■ By turning the crankshaft in the direction of operation, set the check mark notch approx 5 cm in front of the pointer
■ Remove the center screw on the injection pump.
■ The cold start accelerator cable must not be pulled out.
■ The toothed belt must be correctly tensioned
■ In place of the central screw, screw in the dial indicator with a holder and a copper washer Tighten the holder slightly and set the sensor pointer to "0″.
■ Continue turning the crankshaft, until the notch aligns with the pointer. The sensor should indicate the displacement of the distributor piston by 1.0 ±0.05 mm
■ If the sensor shows a different value, then the injection pump setting should be corrected. To do this, remove the toothed belt cover
■ Loosen the three bolts on the injection pump drive pulley.
■ Turn the pump hub slightly, set the stroke of the distributor piston to the required value. You can use a bent screwdriver or a ring spanner, it grabbing the center bolt in the pump hub.
■ Tighten the screws on the pump drive wheel slightly
■ Recheck pump setting, remembering to move the crankshaft back by approx 90
■ After the pump is correctly positioned, tighten the bolts on the wheel.
■ Screw in the screw in the pump head (tightening torque 15 Nm). The screw seal must be replaced. In the event of leakage in the connection, the screw must be re-tightened, but the maximum moment 25 Nm.
