The ignition distributor is located on the left side of the cylinder head and is driven by the camshaft via a claw clutch (Lynx. 3.42).

■ The ignition distributor can be removed by unscrewing three nuts.
■ Keep the bubble and the distributor finger clean. Any surface discharges can be identified by small discharges, black lines.
■ Clean the dome contacts from burns with a blunt object (e.g. screwdriver), however, they must not be processed.
■ If the contacts are burned out, the dome and the finger must be replaced.
■ The notches on the distributor housing are used to align the finger with the contacts in the dome.
■ One character on the edge of the housing defines the finger position for the ZZ point 4. cylinder.
■ The dog clutch is not concentric, what causes, that the distributor shaft can only be installed in one position.
