Gear shifting adjustment

■ Put the gearshift lever in neutral.

■ Remove the screws that secure the center console to the tunnel and remove the console.

■ Loosen the shift lever clamp bolt.

■ Pull out the cover for the alignment opening in the housing cover.

■ Turn the gear lever to the left (looking in the direction of travel) so. so that a drill bit with a diameter can be inserted into the setting hole 5 Mm.

■ At the same time with the help of another person, hold the gearshift lever up to the shift line 1 /2 running (rubber bellows tilted up). The lever stop sleeve must then be in contact with the lever housing. The thrust sleeve reinforcement should be positioned in front of the center zebra of the housing.

■ In this position, tighten the gear lever clamp bolt.

■ Remove the drill bit and insert a new plug into the hole.

■ Attach the rubber bellows to the tunnel.

■ Install the console.

With the engine running and the clutch pedal depressed, all gears must be able to be engaged easily.
