Plowing width adjustment.
The plowing width depends on the number of plow bodies and the working width of each plow body. These values are structurally determined for each type of plow. Changing the working width during operation is achieved by changing the position of the plow in relation to the tractor in the horizontal plane. In this way, however, it is possible to achieve a change in the plowing width only for the first body. The remaining bodies in two-plows- and multi-blade shafts always work with the same working width (depending on the design of the plow).
Such a change is possible thanks to the cranked axis of the plow. The hand crank for width adjustment is connected to the crank axle via a short lever. The cranks of the ends of this axle are staggered by 180 ° [3,14 work]. If we set this axle using the hand crank (spindles) in this way, that the plow bodies will be tilted to the left in relation to the longitudinal axis of the aggregate, the width of the first furrow will increase, on the other hand, if the plow bodies are tilted to the right of this axis, the width of the first furrow will be reduced.
