Emergency brake adjustment
Before adjusting the emergency brake, make sure, with service brakes, especially the rear wheels, are operational.
■ Raise the rear of the car, securing the front wheels.
■ From the underside of the vehicle, pull the cable down firmly on the cable hook (emergency brake released). This should be accompanied by the activation of the rear wheel brakes, rotated by hand during this time.
■ On the cabin side, engage the emergency brake lever, placing it on the third notch. The rear wheels should be locked in this position. If this is not the case, it is necessary to properly screw the nut on the rod next to the cable hook.
The resulting braking effect should occur to the same degree on both wheels.
■ In this position, the emergency brake lever cam on the shoe should be lifted approx 3 Mm. To check it out, remove the stopper from the brake disc and shine a lamp in the hole
■ Release the emergency brake and check, whether the wheels can turn freely.
■ Lower the rear of the car.
