Plows with swiveling bodies for plowing stony soils.
Special plows with swiveling bodies are used for plowing stony soils. The uprights in these plows are connected with a steel rope passing through special guide rollers. One guide roller is mounted on the suspension stand, the other two are on a bracket fixed at the end of the plow. The plow frame consists of two parts: front and rear. The front part is stationary with respect to the suspension stand, while the rear part can slide in relation to the front part thanks to their telescopic connection. The plow bodies are rotatably attached to the rear section. When one of the plow bodies hits a stone while the plow is working and the plow resistance exceeds a certain limit value, the body then tilts backwards and copies the curvature of the stone. The rope connecting the plows is tightened and causes the shock absorber spring to deflect and at the same time to accelerate the movement of the rear movable part of the plow towards the tractor. After the stone plow body slides, the plow resistance is reduced, and the shock absorber spring moves the rear part of the plow frame rearward - to its previous position. Such action of the plow protects its frame and bodies against deformations during plowing of stony soils.
