Special plows. Reversible plows.
All plows known so far were equipped with bodies that put the furrow to the right side. In mountainous and hilly terrain, plowing such plows is not recommended. Under these conditions, the plow should always move along the slope layer, and the furrow slices should always be placed uphill, to reduce the adverse effects of erosion. When plowing along the layer with a plow with right-hand bodies depending on the direction of travel, one furrow slices would be deposited uphill, and the other - in the opposite direction. The furrow arrangement would then be very uneven. The skirts placed uphill would be torn, while set aside downwards, they would be more flat on the slope. To avoid this, plows are built, which have right and left double bodies, offset to each other by 90 or 180 ° [1,57 or 3,14 work]. Thanks to this, the appropriate bodies can be switched on after each turn, so that the furrow slices are placed uphill with each pass. Such plowing makes it difficult to wash away the floatable particles from the upper layers of the slope and contributes to the maintenance of soil fertility.
Each reversible plow consists of a fixed part and a movable part. The fixed part of the plow includes a bogie bushing (to which the suspension stand is attached), two support wheels, a disc cut and a latch blocking the movable part in relation to the fixed part. The moving part consists of bodies attached to the shaft mounted in the beam sleeve. At the end of the shaft, in front of it, Ratchet disc is jammed. It has two slots, in which the locking pawl enters. The sockets are spaced at such an angle, like plow bodies.
To turn the shaft with the bodies, you must first turn off the pawl, and then lift the plow up using the hydraulic jack. After lowering the bodies down, their new position must be locked with the latch before starting work.
The plowing depth is adjusted similarly in these plows, as with all previously known mounted plows. Reversible plows can work with the use of copy regulation or automatic regulation (strength force, mixed). Apart from tractor mounted plows, also reversible plows adapted to horse power are produced. The operation of these plows is similar to that of a tractor plow.
Reversible plows are also used in flat areas, especially for killer whales in narrow and long fields as well as in orchards and vegetable gardens.
