Semi-mounted plows.
These plows are an intermediate design solution between trailed and mounted plows. They are built as five plows- and more furrows. Compared to the trailed plows of the same working width, they are lighter by approx. 30%. The front part of these plows is suspended on the tractor's hydraulic lift. The rear part is always supported on a support wheel. The support wheel can be placed on the rear, in the center or side of the plow. These plows usually work with the copying regulation, but they can also work with automatic plowing depth adjustment. The plow frame is raised in relation to the support wheel by means of a hydraulic cylinder connected to the external hydraulic system of the tractor. The semi-mounted plows have a frame, to which any number of bodies can be mounted, depending on the tractor's power and soil conditions. Those plows, whose working width is greater than that of the tractor wheels, are equipped with two supporting wheels. One of them is always at the rear of the plow. It is used for lifting and steering the plow at turns. When plowing with plows with a working width greater than the tractor's wheelbase, work with the unlocked left hanger of the tractor. Then both support wheels will always move on the field surface, which will ensure even plowing depth across the entire working width of the plow.
