Half-screw and screw mouldboards.
- semi-screw, which differ from the previous ones in the length of the wing and the even greater forward curve of the upper part of the wing and backward curve of the lower part of the wing, they crumble the furrow less, but they better reverse it; they are particularly suitable for the plowing of compact soils;
- screw, which have a helical shaped surface, thanks to which they ensure complete turning of the furrow slice; They are mainly used in meadow plows for plowing meadows and sodded soils.
There are clear differences in the operation of the cultural and screw mouldboard. It follows from this as well, that the vertical furrow wall is formed by part of the edge of the mouldboard breast and part of the blade edge. On the other hand, the mouldboard wing gives the final position to the turned furrow. The more elongated and bent the mouldboard wing is, the more vigorously the furrow is tossed to the side. When the mouldboard is short, additionally, a special additional strip is attached to its sash.
