Air filter service and replacement (engines 1,2 and 1,3)
The carburetor should suck in cold air in summer and warm air in winter The method of regulating the air temperature in the filter housing differs depending on the type of carburetor
■ Engine 1.2 S: there is a lever on the edge of the air filter housing, which is set according to the inscription on the housing cover and the outside temperature.
To move the lever, the wing nut must be loosened, which must be tightened again later.
■ Engine 1,3 N, there is a lever on the side of the filter inlet hose, which is set according to the inscriptions (in the summer on the inscription "Sommer". in winter on "Winter”).
■ Engine 1.3 S: the air filter is equipped with a device that automatically regulates the supply of cool or warm air.
Follow these steps to replace the air filter element.
■ Screw in the three screws on the filter cover.
■ Pull back the latches on the edge of the cover.
■ Remove the filter cover.
■ Replace the paper filter element.
■ Put the cover back in its original position, by tightening the three screws and tightening the latches.
The removal and installation of the filter housing consists in the following steps.
■ Remove the filter cover as described previously.
■ Lift the filter housing over the carburetor as high, as far as possible.
■ Pull off the connected cables from the bottom of the housing.
■ Remove the filter housing.
When replacing the filter housing, slide the hoses as far as possible over the connectors.
