Flywheel repair

■ Check the mating surface of the flywheel with the clutch. If it is scratched, it can be processed to the maximum depth 0,5 Mm. The distance between the friction surface and the contact surface of the coupling housing must be observed. The friction surface is increased by 0,5 mm to the contact surface.

■ A worn or chipped ring gear must be replaced. To do this, place the flywheel on a wooden support, that the toothed rim is not supported. Break the wreath off the circle. Turn the wheel and put it on the three steel supports. Heat the new rim to 80 ° C and slide it over the wheel with one movement, phase facing forward. The wreath should touch the stands.

■ Check the seating of the toothed wheel with a lathe. The allowable runout is 0,5 Mm.

■ The flywheel tightens to the crankshaft with a torque 83 N • m.
