Cleaning and replacing the air filter (engine 1,6 D)

The paper element of the air filter should be cleaned every time 15 000 km mileage, and replace what 30000 km. These periods should be shortened when taking in more dusty air.

■ Remove the hose located at the inlet pipe.

■ Open the retaining straps on the filter housing.

■ Pull the filter housing forwards and lift out the filter element.

■ Cover the intake opening with a clean cloth, thoroughly wipe the filter housing.

■ Carefully tap the cartridge against a hard surface, shake out debris.

■ Insert a cleaned or new cartridge, before removing the cover of the inlet opening.

■ The filter cartridge must not be cleaned with petrol, or oil.

■ Secure the front part of the filter with tapes.

■ Connect the inlet hose.
