When we pronounce the words "Alfa Romeo", we feel strange emotions: exciting car shapes stand before our eyes, we hear the sound of the engine. So far, however, ours (mental) cuore sportivo did not respond to diesel. But now everything is changing.

Unlike TDI engines, fuel is injected under enormous pressure via a "common rail" (Common Raił) straight into the combustion chamber. Thanks to this technology, diesel consumption is reduced (into 8 l/100 km) and the work culture is improving.
Alfa has developed this technique in partnership with Mercedes and Bosch.

However, unlike the Mercedes C 200 The CDI Alfa also allows itself to be turbo charged with a variable turbine geometry. Effect: unbelievable departure of the car. Huge torque, peaking in value 304 Nm, allows for a fantastic spurt from the lowest revolutions – jump immediately onto the left lane. And because there is no Alpha, who wouldn't like spinning, the tachometer arrow in this "156" jumps without problems 5000, accompanied by great sound, typical for five-cylinder units.

Body / interior. Super shapely limousine with coupe features is not one of the greatest in its class, but certainly the most exciting. Just looking at her purebred mouth will drive many fathers to sin. Or why not? After all, there will certainly be enough space for four people.

Chassis / safety. The hard suspension matches the jerks and engine performance. The suspension definitely dislikes only short transverse bumps. For that model 156 is equipped with four airbags as standard, easily reaching the level of competition security.
The velor upholstery of well-formed armchairs is certainly not to everyone's liking, but the complete equipment is impressive.
